Learn how to clean your Jordan 4s to remove any dirt, make them look new again and expand their lifespan.
Materials Needed:
- Soft-bristle brush (or an old toothbrush)
- Microfiber cloth
- Mild cleaning solution (a mix of warm water and gentle dish soap)
- Small bowl or container for the cleaning solution
- Optional: Sneaker cleaning solution
Preparation:
- Remove the laces from your sneakers. You need to wash these seperately for the best results
- Hit the soles together over a bin or outside to knock off any loose dirt or debris
Dry Brush:
- Before using any water, use a dry soft-bristle brush to gently brush away surface dirt and dust from the upper and around the soles.
Cleaning Solution:
- In a bowl, mix warm water with a small amount of mild dish soap to create a cleaning solution. you can also use cleaning solutions specifically for sneakers such as Crep Protectif you have them.
How To Wash:
- Dip the brush into the cleaning solution and scrub the shoes. Focus on areas that are particularly dirty. For stubborn stains, apply a small amount of sneaker cleaner if you have some.
- Use the microfiber cloth to apply the solution to sensitive areas like the shoe's tongue and any suede or nubuck sections, as these require a gentler touch.
- To clean the laces, dip them into the cleaning solution and rub them toghether in your hands to get the stains out, if you have very stained white laces, it might be a good idea to bleach them, in my experience it works well to get tough stains out.
Wipe Down:
- After scrubbing, take a clean microfibre and wipe down the shoes to remove any soap residue.
Air Dry:
- Allow the shoes and laces to air dry at room temperature.
These tips will assist in maintaining your Jordan 4s to stay in top shape for longer.
